Exact Years, Months and Days
Calendar months do not all contain the same number of days, so simply dividing a total number of days by 30 does not provide an exact calendar difference. This calculator measures complete years and months first, then calculates the remaining days.
How Many Days Are Between Two Dates?
The total-days result measures the number of calendar days separating the selected dates. If you enable “Include end date,” the calculator counts the final date as part of the duration as well.
Weeks Between Dates
The calculator divides the total duration into complete seven-day weeks and any remaining days. This can be useful when planning schedules, trips, training periods or project timelines.
Business Days and Weekdays Between Dates
When weekday calculations are enabled, the tool counts Monday through Friday separately from Saturday and Sunday. This provides a quick business-day estimate for schedules and deadlines.
Public holidays are not automatically excluded because holiday calendars vary by country, region and organization. The weekday total therefore represents Monday-to-Friday calendar days rather than an official working-day calendar.
Should You Include the End Date?
Normally, the difference between two dates measures the elapsed time from the start of one date to the start of the other. Selecting “Include end date” adds one calendar day so both boundary dates are counted.
